About the event

Empowerment Services & Educational Support

The Dunamis Covenant Connection Institute (DCCI) is the official educational arm of Dunamis Covenant Connection (DCC). Its central purpose and mission are to provide ordained and lay members empowerment services and educational support. As this body is encouraged, empowered and equipped to serve within the Body of Believers, covering, care and counsel establish a godly legacy enabling all to effectively maintain a healthy family structure, build God's House, impact the world and bring glory to God and the Kingdom.

Contending for the Faith

Each year, during the month of October, Dunamis Covenant Connection Institute (DCCI) will offer its Holy Convocation Series during the Holy Convocation of the Dunamis Covenant Connection (DCC), under the leadership of our Chief Prelate, Archbishop Robert Joel Rochford, Sr. Its central purpose and mission are to provide ordained and lay members empowerment services and educational support based upon the annual theme. As we echo the Jude 1:3 instruction to “contend for the faith in changing times," we pause to take a moment to gather as a people, hear instruction given by God to our leader, so we will be able to go out and continue to fight the good fight of faith.

Encouraged, Empowered & Equipped to Serve

All current and prospective students of the Dunamis Covenant Connection Institute (DCCI) must successfully enroll, register for course(s), and complete financial commitments by the publicized due date. Matriculating students must satisfy all requirements within three (3) years and be in good standing to earn a minimum of forty-five (45) credits to receive a Certificate in Theological Studies. The designated course offerings will be publicized and available for enrollment during Open House no later than the thirty (30th) of November, per annum.

The Ninth Annual Holy Convocation Workshop Series

The following courses will be offered:

WED, OCTOBER 21

> 6:30 PM - 7:15 PM / Purposed Publicly / Jesus & Justice: The Modern Civil Rights Movement

An intentional, exploratory examination of the Modern Civil Rights Movement. What are the similarities and differences that emerge? How does God speak through leaders with an in-season word to proclaim Jesus and Justice? How do God’s purposes challenge God’s people, within and without the Lord's Church, to envision and engage a changing world? And still, what does God require (Micah 6:8)?

THUR, OCTOBER 22

> 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM / Purposed Regularly / Assembling a Purpose Driven Church in a Pandemic

This course provides an overview of the Biblical and Theological foundations pertaining to "the assembling of the saints" within a God-led community (Hebrews 10:25). The questions queried are as follow:

  • Who are the people of God?
  • Why must they gather on a regular basis?
  • How is God’s character instilled and manifested in a people?
  • How is God revealed during this global crisis: pandemic?

> 6:30 PM- 7:15 PM / Purposed Virtually / Becoming Virtuous, Virtual and Vibrant

The Church, known as the ecclesia (Greek): a called-out people, is by its nature a social endeavor which calls people to stand and serve together not separately. We are called to come together in public worship rather than isolate ourselves in private prayer. The people of God are not called to be Monks but to be among those in the larger society. This course will discuss the strengths and challenges of a "virtuous" people operating a “virtual” church and envisioning a “vibrant” ministry.

> 6:30 PM- 7:15 PM / Purposed Publicly / Jesus & Justice: The Azusa Street Revival Movement (ages 17-24)

An intentional, exploratory examination of the Azusa Street Revival Movement. What are the similarities and differences that emerge? How does God speak through leaders with an in-season word to proclaim Jesus and Justice? How do God’s purposes challenge God’s people, within and without the Lord's Church, to envision and engage a changing world? And still, what does God require (Micah 6:8)?

FRI, OCTOBER 23

> 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM / Purposed Wholly / Pastoral Care During and After a Pandemic

This course provides basic principles and practices for coming through an emotional, physical, and spiritual crisis for weary pastoral leaders and anxious followers. How does the Lord's Church promote healing during and after a pandemic?

> 6:30 PM - 7:15 PM / Purposed Faithfully / Overcoming Faithfully in a Changing World

God charges and challenges us to not conform to this world, but rather, be transformed by renewing our minds in Christ Jesus. In our changing society, we are more than Conquerors purposed to overcome (endure hardship and discomfort). It is our faith that provides conviction, courage, and commitment to withstand the attacks of the evil one. This course reminds students of God's pronounced promises to stir-up their gifts and skills purposed to turn the world upside down and right side up for Christ.

> 6:30 PM - 7:15 PM / Purposed Publicly / The Black Lives Matter Movement (ages 17-24)

An intentional, exploratory examination of the Black Lives Matter Movement. What are the similarities and differences that emerge? How does God speak through leaders with an in-season word to proclaim Jesus and Justice? How do God’s purposes challenge God’s people, within and without the Lord's Church, to envision and engage a changing world? And still, what does God require (Micah 6:8)?
